Preview of Formula 1 - 2010

After the year 2001, all the PC gamers that love the Formula 1 world , have been waiting for this special moment..
After 9 years of waiting for a new PC release now finally comes the year where all Formula One junkies have been waiting for .. The releasing of a brand new Formula 1 game...back to PC!

In this preview we will cover some of the major improvements that Codemasters made, to make this probably the best Formula 1 game of all times!

This is Formula 1 - 2010 - made by Codemasters

F1 2010 is the official game of the 2010 FIA FORMULA ONE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP and will include all of the official teams, drivers and circuits featuring in the sports most exciting season to date. F1 2010 features a range of game modes, from quick-fire races and time trials to full GRAND PRIX weekends and an extensive career mode. Players will experience the thrill of racing motorsport’s most advanced cars at the world’s finest circuits, including, for the first time in a videogame, high-definition recreations of Singapore’s stunning night race and the dramatic Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi.

Career Mode

You will start as a beginning F1 driver that has managed to get a seat in a Formula 1 team.
Wich team you will start , depends on the difficaulty you have chosen to drive in the career mode.
From this moment, things are going very fast!

As you get into complete racing weekends, you have to tweak the car to each circuit, weatherconditions and temperatures.
This gives you the ultimate simulation experience.
It doesn't matter if you are an arcade type or a simulation type of driver.
You can adjust all settings like steer assist, break assist, gear assist and overal skill of other drivers on the track , to get a difficaulty that you wish to drive.

After you have drove youre first season , other and better teams will ask you if you are interested in driving in their cars.
Your first two seasons will not be very glamorous, because winning from the top teams, is as in real life almost impossible.
But you will see, that every season, you will be improving urself and finally you will make it to the top! .. (or not.)

Simulation

Formula 1 - 2010 has the best simulation feeling of all F1 games out there at the moment.
For example, the team will give you constant updates about the weatherconditions, temperatures of the car, wich corner can be driven faster , and other very welcome tips that realy make you improve , and help you to get better laptimes and overtake an opponent easier.

When driving the training day, you can adjust the car in the pitbox, to make sure that the car handles how you want it to handle.
For example, if you have a circuit like Spa - Belgium, you know it's a circuit with some long straights where topspeed is realy important.
If you improve the car on top-speed, it will decrease in corners.
So you have to find a perfect balance, in how to adjust the up and downforce to get both of them as best as possible.

Also, the weatherconditions change while driving a race. Asking you to wait untill the
perfect moment to switch tires without losing to much positions, or maybe ur pole position.

Graphics

Stunning graphics .. every detail of each car has been worked on with 100% eye for detail.
Codemasters realy worked hard to make the game look amazing.
With a complete new engine, this game looks better then every race game out here at this moment.. and i don't think that the new Need for Speed series even get close.

Each track has some good and bad points.. Drivers losing grip on several corners or points
are simulated in the game. So the real F1 fan knows.. and the newbie has a big chance that
he needs to get some stuff on his car replaced.
Even if a other driver is driving in front of you, will change the circulation of air , giving you less grip when beeing to close in the slipstream of ur oponent.
Thats what i call, simulation and eye for detail.

Conclusion

In my opinion, this will be the best F1 Simulation game that you can find for the next couple of years. Unfortunately, F1 games where not that popular on the PC platform back in the days , and i think this is the main reason that the PC - Gamers needed to wait a long time untill a game developer would give it another try to launch an F1 game.
I strongly recommend this game to the race junkies out there.. Games as the Need for Speed series will get beaten by this game by ease!

The game will be launched September 24th for PC, Xbox360 and Playstation 3.
After some weeks of testing, we will come back with an epic review of this game.

You can check the preview video of the game here

Sapphire Euro Challenge for the Swedes

It's been a week, but this is definitely worth posting, because the team won the Sapphire Euro Challenge gaining themselves £500.

With having to compete versus 16 teams in the playoffs and having opponents such as Power Gaming, Rage Gaming and a possible Reason Gaming in the final, won’t be a job that is done with two fingers in the nose.

With miRACLE having computer problems, the team decided to give the former star of our lineup, VissEh a chance to show himself again. VissEh was part of the lineup, which played the-eXperience ’09.

K1ck from Finland didn’t seem to be a tough opponent, the team took it away on Citystreets with 13-6. After k1ck it was time for no. 7 on the top 10 of August, RAGE Gaming. Unfortunately for RAGE Gaming, H2k was playing very good, which gave them a 13-7 win on Strike. In the semi-final, there was the number 1 of Europe, Power Gaming, the map was Backlot and also Power didn’t manage to take more than 7 rounds of our boys, the result was 13-7 to H2k.

It was time for the final, playing versus a Benelux team newly added to the British organisation The Last Resort, the team consists out of pr0phecy, mean, silleke, sEnzaj, pazazu, but TLR showed that they still got a lot of working to do, to be able to beat an opponent of H2k’s calibre. 13-2 on Backlot and 13-4 on Citystreets.

Results:
vs. k1ck 13-6
vs. RAGE Gaming 13-7
vs. Power Gaming 13-7
vs. TheLastResort 13-2 / 13-4

H2k kills the rumors!

Dear fans & other relative e-Sport community members,
As we saw several false rumors and statements coming by the last weeks by so called H2k staff, we would like to hereby release an official press release to end this soap about the Counter-Strike 1.6 team.

I like to point out that the decision of taking in Bjorn Pers (threat) was a pure choice of the team and we did not hated this choice ourselves, because of course the team decides on what they think is good for the team’s future.

I did not understand the teams decision completely but we want to stress out that we have any issues with both Markus and Bjorn nor with Lions (Nostra) seeing we had talks with all of them only some days ago.

It is a fact that the trust between both parties (the H2k organization and the team) is not there. H2k lost their motivation in cooperating together and we hereby also want to notify that every player in the CS lineup will be be released from their contract as long as they come up to the deals and agreements they signed on their contracts.

Some players have broken strict rules as written in their contract.
Playing for another team without the approval of our partners and the H2k staff is only one of them.

All the 9 players can be released from their contracts if they AND the new organizations where they want to play for contact H2k and discuss the terms for releasing.

Some rumors were written about the financial status of H2k Gaming. With strong partners and other H2k brands
behind the Gaming organization there is no reason for us to explain more.

Best Regards,

Rudy van der Reest – Chief Executive Officer

miRACLE Cadred Interview

The interview consists of questions regarding Johan as a player, as a team mate, and as an opponent. I personally read it myself and found it a great read, giving a deep insight into the Swede's mind and game-set.

Somehow Johan always seems to state his arrogance in such a cute and yet amusing way that always keeps everyone laughing! Courtesy of the quote he gave from H2kTV, it was one question that had to be bought up [teaser from interview]

Miracle: CoD4's sexiest gamer. Care to comment on this statement that was flying around the H2kTV cast throughout AEF?

HAHA! I can't disagree with that, I got so surprised when they said my name, and it was really fun though. Haha I always have a great time at LANs. It’s always so much fun and everyone is so nice

What can I say?

I'm just that hot

Need I say More?

Definitely an interview to read, the full interview can be viewed here

SK Victory over H2k, will H2k redeem vs Lions?

After a exciting match SK has beaten our boys with a score of 2 vs 0. SK will advance to the final where they will meet Power Gaming. H2k will drop into the third place decider match vs the Danish Oslo Lions.

The game bought spectators from all over to see if H2k could overtake SK-Gaming to move through to the WCG Nordic Finals this weekend. The all swedish match line-up saw a clash of the titans where SK would seek revenge for being knocked out of the Dallas Cup by H2k in the previous month.

Unfortunately this time the results varied, with SK being superior in this particular match; set aline two maps which would divide the two teams. De_Train left H2k trying to find the coffee and wake up if they had a chance of winning this competition. With SK already in lead 9-2 it left them smug and confident, but H2k quickly turned it around to bring the game into Overtime, but this wasnt enough as SK managed to clinch it 2:1 leaving the score at 19:17 to SK.

Second map, one that haunts a lot of counterstrike players, de_nuke. Its marmite, you either hate it or love it, but either way you've got to play it. H2k going into the game not-so-confident knowing they had already lost a previous match in the Nordic competition 16:6 on this particular map. H2k tried to see the silver lining as they attempted to turn this game around in what would be one of the best clutches in the competition catching SK 'completely with their pants down'. This kept H2k in the game, winning 9:6 before switching sides - both teams knew this was make or break - especially H2k who were already 1:0 down. SK kept up their running performance, and H2k just couldn't keep up despite their tactics and superb gameplay.

SK took the game 16:10 all together, meaning H2k only got 1 addition point since round change, moral was unfortunately down, H2k were helpless despite how hard they tried. SK Took the victory and move on to the finals, but will they go all the way? And will H2k be able to redeem themselves against the ferocious Lions?

Thermaltake "Everything Else, We Will See.."

Thermaltake bite back to the sudden news about the disperse of 60% of their line-up, with three of their all-star German players going back to old team Alternate Attax. Thermaltake made a rapid recovery by picking up three fresh faces, not a problem.

Their roster seems to have been shuffled more times than a pack of cards, but it isn't stopping them. Thermaltake had to make a rapid recovery to their line-up falling far from superior against Alternate Attax as players decided to withdraw from TT to AA.

Felix fel1x Zech, Christopher crovex Mück and Manuel SolEk Zeindler all decided to evacuate and dismember themselves from TT as they joined the newly-scouted AA.CS team, leaving TT lost for words. Without any hesitation the Germans picked up three new fresh players to bulken their team and hope to secure their place in the organisation without any further disruptions. Unfortunately swiftly after the three left TT, Christian Igor Meyer decided it was time to call it a day as he proceeded to go inactive due to personal reasons which are not yet known. This only leaves, Nils plex Theen as the remaining original member, hoping to school the 'new kids on the block'.

These are no ordinary replacements though, having played under the Thermaltake name in the German EPS before, but sadly folding due to loss of focus and/or activity, the team has new goals and therefore new motivations which they feel will help them succeed in the upcoming German EPS.

Aloha. The last season for us could not have gone better for me. It was the first time I played at the finals and we won the championship directly. After I knew that I was the only remaining team in the bin, which will continue to play for Thermaltake, I had on one hand a crying eye, then on the other one I was laughing. The crying is self-explanatory I think, but I was also glad that I can finally play with the Twins. By Adrian we have a super AWP in the team and an old hand with Dennis, who brings much experience with him. I am very happy with this combination and our aim is to Finals minimal participation. Everything else, you will see over time, I think.

I greet all the people who know me!

Yours, plex

Alternate Attax - We're Backkkkk

Alternate Attax have been waving the white flag recently, failing to qualify for a variety of competitions, they are pushing their hardest in order to show they have what it takes to represent. So saying welcome to three of their old players, and a major team restructure, AA release their come-back to Source...

The past year or so has caused nothing but trouble for Alternate. With major changes being made, the inability to qualify for events, and the sheer determination left in them to produce good results for their organisation, they feel its time to step up to the plate. Bringing back three of their old players hoping to relight the fire, Alternate Attax are happy to release their new rebuilt line-up.

With good news, comes bad news. Because of these three roster changes, it leaves Team Thermaltake in dispare as now 60% of their line-up have broken off in the move. Although it is sure that the three players - Christopher crovex Mück, Felix fel1x Zech and Manuel Soleks Zeindler - will be moving to AA, it is not yet confirmed what TT will do to resolve their now left discomfort.

Marek esca Gable, the manager, left the following statement on fragster.de:

We did it! After a long time, we can now finally present our lineup and start again with a new lineup in the next EPS season. After the team was always empty after the EPS Finals, we had to, find new players. The choice was ultimately to take the three guys from Thermaltake as it was the best for our package. So we have another strong season for both team relations and in game a base with which we hopefully can build to the top again. As a way to further strengthen ourselves, We present Head with an old friend and now things are looking good to start the season and hopefully at the end again in Cologne to play for the title. Whether everything works out, we will establish over time.

Nico sYrox Strott, The team captain; gave this official statement on SK-Gaming:

SK evinced interest after our manager had built up the contact with Alex and Timothy. Later on, we discussed SK's offer among others within our team and decided thatit suited best. We signed the contracts and here we are :-) I hope we will perform strongly wearing SK's colours and that SK will be a name to fear, from now on even in the CS:Source scene. As far as our plans for the EPS 17 are concerned, we aim very high. We will definitely do our best to reach our goals and as I said before, make SK a name in the CS:S scene.

That now confirms the new SK-Gaming.CS:S Line-up As:

AEF: The Round-up.

Unfortunately due website malfunctions, we were unable to cover all the matches individually, so we had to gather up our resources and use what we could. We produced all the results from H2k onto the Official H2k Twitter (www.twitter.com/h2kgaming) keeping viewers up-to-date on all the results, coverage and excitement during the competition. H2kTV helped us out alot also covering the event via live stream which we will be able to offer you as a 'catchup' for anything you missed.

Here will be an attempt to sum up the event in a first-part piece of news to cover the event due to website malfunctions during it.

The Antwerp Esports Festival sheltered some of the best players in the COD4 scene period. Being the biggest Call of Duty 4 non-BYOC event, travelling down there and just being at the event was historical within the scene and something most dedicated hardy team players wanted to be a part of. Partaking in the event was 56 teams all together for a complete cash prize of €12,000 available to the winners.

It was quite unfortunate that H2k-Gaming/H2k-Media couldn't produce live coverage on the event, but what has happened as happened and now we aim to present all the news and facts of the event as a major summary and catch-up.

So What Was Missed?

Well, there were definitely some dignified events within the competition, Team ThermalTake almost managed to qualify in an absolutely dominating match against Dignitas, but due to their performance against MondialServers, they put ThermalTake to bed on round point difference which was sad for us all knowing how hard they had worked.

It saw unique stars Qoob Gaming capture a win and a draw in a slanted competition, only to leave Group Favourites YoYoTech take 6 straight wins to qualify.

It also saw a crucial and yet 'crazy crazy double overtime' semi-finals match introducing H2k Gaming and Fnatic for the first time in the competition, with both teams going absolutely huge bringing their A-Game. The odd teamkill or mistake would leave gaps in the game, but overall MVP would have to go to froz or Mumma for exquisit play and just an overall great performance, even under pressure.

Italians AIRBORNE Gaming produced outstanding play in the group stages, even qualifying above TheLastResort which shocked afew faces, but as we said before, they were definitely a team with some tricks up their sleeves.

There were plenty of other excitements during the competition, and we will definitely bring you all the inside news that we can produce on anything you may have missed..

So Stay Tuned!

AEF Pre-Coverage [Part 3]: H2k & ThermalTake

In this particular instalment of news, we will be focusing on the two headlining teams for this particular organisation and its branches, H2k-Gaming and Team Thermal-take. Both teams highly recognised in the respective regional scenes.

Straight from Sweden, the success story of H2k.cod4 is strung up by a series of event-wins, tournament participation and player recognition. Playing to the highest of their abilities since the release of Call of Duty 4, the team have high prospects for taking first place at this evidence, with confidence ever rising, already being seeded third place prediction from Vita Nova.

The team were picked up by H2k Organisation back in January, when they were formally known as moO.se . Back then their line-up consisted of Joakim fAEkE Åberg and Victor vissEh Gunnarsson, who both unfortunately left the team respectably, leading onto the risky pickup of Roe froz Langaas, known within the scene for cheating allegations which were immediately stomped out, not only this but also because of his play-style, being labelled risky and unproductive, which was soon proved wrong when he bought his complete A-game to the SteelSeries Esports Challenge. Even in the darkest of times in the COD4 scene, H2k have always shined, bringing not only excellent skill, but also sheer passion for the game, which makes them worthy of taking gold in Belgium.

My expectations of the event are really high! This is going to be the biggest Call of Duty 4 LAN so far, and we are aiming to win it. It is going to be hard, but we know we have every chance to make it happen. Everything expect a top 3 would be a major disappointment for us being a part of H2k. I'm really looking forward to meeting all the guys in the team and of course some other players as well.

We definitely have huge expectations for AEF. We are going there to win but we know it wont be easy. I would say there are probably 5-6 teams that could potentially beat us BUT if we bring our best to the event we shouldn't have a problem ending in the top 3. This is also the first event with froz in the team so it will be awesome meeting him. The change from vissEh to froz wasn't easy in the beginning but during the last week we have found the key form and I think with it, this team really can win the Antwerp Esports Festival!

Team Thermal-take is another highly respected team participating at AEF this weekend. We decided to take a closer look at Thermal-take’s participation in the competition due to the pre-group posts by Vita Nova, not being seeded for the top 15 positions. Being one of the only German teams in the competition (four all together) it is important for The German ThermalTake to bring their absolute best to the competition.

Now Thermaltake have been planning and preparing for this competition since early June. Making two crucial switches in their line-up to equal perfection ready for AEF.Moritz moe Mencwel and Elias BudzR Bork were both picked up by the organisation back in June as a smart move ready for AEF. This was due to Steffen flinN Barth being removed from the roster due to inactivity through his newfound job, preventing him to give 100% dedication to the team. Philipp steelt Romano is another who will not be attending AEF, who after being a long-time member of the Thermaltake crew, was removed due to him not fitting in with the newly revamped team. After their fairly average ESL Pro Series, Germany #16, result (placing 8th overall), the team are confirmed to come back with a vengeance in Belgium this weekend.

Although the team was not seeded, this hasn’t disrupted their focus; on the contraire it has in-fact pushed them to work that little bit harder during the few days before the event in order to get maximum benefit from it. The team is looking strong, but with fellow respected German team SPEED-LINK also looking strong for the event, it is crucial that Thermaltake bring their A-game.

There are a lot of reasons for this team to achieve in the competition, not only to make a comeback from their ESL performance, not only for sole purpose of winning the event, but also representing Germany. As mentioned before, there are only 4 German teams in the entire COD4 competition, which consists of 56 teams all together. Other teams from the German Regions consist of Anexis Gaming, Hardware4u Gaming and SPEED-LINK. But with Hardware4u and SPEED-LINK placed in the same group, it narrows the chances of all the German Teams qualifying, putting more emphasis on the fact Thermaltake are representing not only themselves as an sophisticated organisation, but also representing Germany.

The Line-up participating the event stands as:

Marc sPwNz Uhlich
Kevin Kevvin Koch
Felix spooN Schwarzlose
Moritz moe Mencwel
Elias BudzR Bork

AEF Pre-Coverage [Part 2]: Spotlighting Teams

So with the summary of the teams complete, H2k have taken an alternative look into the competition, selecting the teams which we personally believe should have the spotlight for particular underdog reasons. This is an exclusive H2k News Feature and Alternative Pre-Coverage, enjoy.

I start this news post off by focusing on probably the most popular discussion at the moment. Qoob. Qoob are a South African originating COD4 team, and I feel they should be spotlighted particularly because of their nationality. This team has not only had the privilege of having its own country host the 2010 World Cup Football, but now has the ability to boast they have a full team lock and loaded ready for Histories biggest COD4 BYOC LAN event.

QOOB - South Africa, first the World Cup, now AEF.

The team, one of its kind out of 55 other teams, has a sophisticated line-up of 5 South African players, who have been the skeptical of the Community’s eyes with other players growing all the more curious to who exactly the first African tea participating in a European cup are.

Despite their short time playing together as a team, they find themselves already familiar within the scene and renowned in Africa as somewhat National heroes, boosting their much-needed confidence for the competition.

The Line-up is as follows:

Trevor qu1k_sh0t Henry
Greg Rora Van Der Spuy
Andrew xiR Harper
Wesley W1ckeD Hatfield
Alan K1ddo Hatfield

Its hard to quote this team as the no.1 South African team, because of the lack of LANs there, their results only consist online of tournaments and one-night cups which are highly rated within the COD4 scene.

It is also hard to expect massive results from this team, but we’ve seen mad things happen in history which relate to underdogs, so you can call it pressure, you can call it confidence-boost, but all this hype is well deserved and I wish this team all the best of luck in the competition.

Luck Of The Irish For 'Good In Theory'?

Another team, which I am proud to be discussing, is a team, which the spotlight seems to have missed on other content websites: Good In Theory. Has nobody noticed that these are the only Irish team supporting the competition? Good In Theory are also an out-numbered underdog team, having 5 Irish Players out of roughly 280-odd participating in the event. Although a fairly unknown team within the scene, and not many sources online relating to their team line-up, one can only wish this team the best of luck as they represent the small island which parts from the United Kingdom. They go into the competition not only representing themselves, not only the United Kingdom, but also Ireland as an independency. Good Luck to the players as they pursue the pot of gold at the end of the COD4 competition in Belgium!

Germany 4v52, But How Many Will Qualify?

The final spotlight focus to be introduced is Germany. There are only four German teams participating in the Belgium event this weekend, and it is important to remember this could bring pressure to said teams because they aren't only representing themselves, but together they are representing Germany. Two of these teams are two very well-known and very well-respected teams, team SPEED-LINK and ThermalTake. Both well established teams within their regional scenes, it will definitely be a very good competition if both of these two teams qualified and even met each other further in the competition.

The other two German-based teams participating in the competition are two fairly well-known names within the scene, with some well-performed online/offline results. These two teams have some further pressure because they dont just have to compete as Germany, but they also have two higher anarchy German teams in the mix. These two teams are known as Hardware4u Gaming and Anexis Esports.

What brings further controversy to this event is the unfortunate draw of results for the groups. Both Anexis and SPEED-LINK appear in the same group, narrowing the chances of all the German teams qualifying the group stages. With this in mind we wish the teams the best of luck and hope that even with the odds stacked against them they prevail and show the rest of the competition why they dont need the German Octopus to predict them the first place prize.

AEF Pre-Coverage [Part 1]: The Teams

H2k take a unique look on the Antwerp Esports Festival this Weekend in Antwerp, Belgium. H2k will be covering the whole of the event but we thought we would get a little preview on who?s involved, some interesting facts and what H2k are expecting to take away from the event. ? All split into 3 exciting news installments.

With the Antwerp Esports Festival (Antwerp, Belgium – AEF) around the corner, we thought we would get a fairly unique look on the weekend-event, looking at the stars, the underdogs, and of course our very own competitors, H2k-Gaming. Recently thanks to Vita Nova, the groups and seeding have gone live, with mixed emotions on some of the teams and their particular seeding predictions. The preview coverage will be split into three instalments, #1: A look at the competition, #2: The Groups: The Exclusive H2k Spotlights and finally #3: H2k Gaming & ThermalTake - The Story and possibly some final predictions from the players at the very end.

This installment, being the first, will be a fairly vague overview of the groups that will be participating in the AEF COD4 event. This is because with 56 teams all-together competing, it’s going to be a very long read if we went in-depth. This will lead on to the second installment which will allow what we believe are ‘unique’ teams or teams we feel should get a glance at the spotlight, this then leads on to a final installment which allows the spotlight to be turned to our very own H2k and ThermalTake teams. WARNING: This is a very long read, but very productive to get an insight on the groups and their standings - If you would like to skip straight to the Summary of the Groups - CLICK HERE

Now we take an overlook at all of the groups, giving a summary of each group, the expectations, seeding and predictions. Starting with Group A.

Group A:

This group contains a fair few new and old faces. Fnatic and TLR are two well-established and well-known teams which will be battling it out in the event. Fnatic, given the seeding prediction of 1st, have the pressure on to perform in event, but with the likes of “Stevy” it ‘shouldn’t be a problem’. TLR come back with a fairly new line-up, only being picked up 2 weeks before the event, they claim this doesn’t add any pressure and although are hoping for top3, they are happy to be facing the likes of Fnatic and hope to make an impression in the tournament.

I personally believe this group has all the spotlight teams in the competition. These teams are not only representing themselves or their organizations, but also their countries. With teams such as Five, AIRBORNE Gaming and Good In Theory participating the event being the solo teams representing their respective countries, its definitely one group that should be kept an eye on, all eager to impress the crowd!

Other teams in the competition include two Belgium teams, Adversity and s!de effex, both wanting to impress on their home soil as they rage through the Belgium Event.

Group B:

This group contains such organizations as #1vital.dBGame.EU,Vivarium, oSk Gaming and SIXDAYS. These teams are all participating the event with the teams of achieving the top 3 positions. As with every other team in the competition, its definitely going to be a grudge match.

There’s some more familiar faces in this group, appearing YoYoTech and RAGE.nl. Both teams will be looking to out-play the other both being seeded in consecutive positions (8th and 9th) so they will be looking to prove the predictions wrong and take it one step further…

Another Unique team is Qoob. First hosting the World Cup for 2010, now representing South Africa, being the only South African team for many years on the COD4 scene and also in the Benelux competition.

Group C:

Group C contains a lot of familiar faces, whether seeded or not, the likes of TCM-Gaming, SPEED-LINK, Epsilon and Team fuZion in the group, it will be one that can only lead in ‘every man for himself’ with every team wanting to excel as early as possible in the competition.

Other teams appearing in this group are plusONE, Hardware4u and Team Visualize, all sophisticated teams with the ability to top the qualifiers if luck is on their side.

Group D:

Group D contains our very own H2k, after months of practice for the event they go with the intention of not only making an impression, but also winning the event if possible. Already being seeded 3rd the confidence and moral of the team high, and they hope to leave at the same level.
Some fairly known faces in this group, 4Dead Gaming and iQPAD being two of them, with iQPAD being seeded 14th, they are looking to only push the predictions and beat them. Some teams that are looking to make an impression on the competition are B1G, PGS Gaming, Intolerance Esports and Anexis Gaming, making it hard for the spotlighted teams to qualify.

Group E:

Out of the blue it seems that neighbours will have to clash. Both Nemesis Esports & Nemesis Esports teams have been drawn for this group, so it proves to be battle of the nations as England meets Holland in a battle to gain bragging rights within their shared organisation.

Reason Gaming and eSbua make an appearance in this group, both being two well-respected teams. With eSuba’s team originating from the Czech Republic and Reason being one of the British Pride teams, Both these have been seeded in the top 15 brackets (eSuba 14th and Reason 4th).

This competition also includes Team Infused, New Cool Collective and vital.dBGamez– who are looking to qualify in order to hopefully meet their European counterparts later in the competition. (Group B)

Group F:

Power Gaming, being seeded 5th in the competition is a team, which are definitely trying to top the top 3 positions. Being seeded only 2 places below the top 3 puts an impression on them, which can push them to make it happen.

Also featuring in this group is Fragmasters, Iuro, Psychotic Gaming, MouseControl and Visualize Your Enmity. Fragmasters hope to live up to their CS:S shadow, being one of their most infamous teams for performance and Mouse Control becoming a talked-about team within the scene which puts more pressure on them to make an impression on the rest of the competition at AEF.

RAGE.Esports are also featured in this group, the only Russian team in the organisation, which hope to outplay their counterparts which appear in group B, showing that Russia > Holland if met further in the competition.

Group G:

This group contains the likes of zeroPoint! From Hungary, one team that has already been spotlighted by Tek-9 as a main competetor in the competition, stating they are definitely ready to bring their A-game in order to shock the public with their positive results being seeded 10th already. Imperial are another well known team being seeded 7th, they bring their European line-up to the competition with the sheer ambition to dominate their group and take it further than 7th place.

Other teams featured include Team-Sypher, Team Omega, Origine-online, waL* and Gamersreject. Gamersreject, being the only Croatian team in the competition, hope to show that their regional players are ones to watch out for. Origine-online and Team-Sypher bring up some controversy being two strong French teams in the competition, narrowing the chances of all French teams qualifying in the competition, they look to show each other who is the stronger.

Group H:

This final group in the 56-team competition contains thermaltake, one aspiring team, which we can say, have been practicing for this event for the past 2 months, making two team-changes with their aims to WIN the competition in Belgium this weekend. High hopes, good luck!

Obvious faces Dignitas have been seeded 2nd, and are coming confidently to the event this weekend, hoping to take it further and take the gold medal in Belgium, being another highly British-pride organisation its one everyone will most-definitely be monitoring.

Other teams featured include MondialServers (15th), Team Derailed – who again, shadow their infamous CS:S team which have already made an impression in the GB Source Scene, DreaM Gaming, Aimotion and Sublime Multigaming.

[SUMMARY]

H2k Expands: New Editor-In-Chief Partnership arises.

With the new website of H2k being released, so was a new opportunity to produce a fulfilled community website with a large variety of news at a viewers fingertips.

Today it was confirmed that H2k-Gaming would be picking up not only one new addition, but two to the organisation. After an advertisement was posted on the website advertising a position opening for a qualified aspiring Editor-In-Chief position, applications came flying in. After an extensive overview on the applications, the two best candidates were chosen and rather than natural selection, it was decided that a partnership would be fused.

The partnership consists of two English experienced news writers, one from Nottingham, and one from Liverpool. Not only this, but without either knowing the other had applied for position, it was uncovered that the two new team-recruits were friends, having a history of partnership in Management & Team Participation.

Introducing the newest members of the H2k Crew:

James Robert Gardiner (JAYYYY) – a 19-year-old Nottingham-based student studying Digital Media Technology at Nottingham Trent University, stated he had a keen interest for eSports Journalism after extensively reading blogs and other related items that didn’t consist of a professional format that a typical news post did. Previously playing Halo & CS:S professionally, it is great to have an insight into those particular scenes with an further unique insight into eSports Journalism.

I think what makes me different from normal content-managers is my unique insight into the game. I ponder on why I originally got into eSports and games, and it was for the thrill, the friends, and the creativity. My personal creativity as a social graphics designer means I can reflect this trait and import it into my written pieces.

Charles Burke (Charlesb) – Being the right-hand man of the partnership, Charles produces extensive well-written reports and coverage contained of hard facts. This allows a greater insight into the up-to-date eSports scene via a professional view. Charles, a pretty active professional competitive gamer, started out playing United Offensive with James way back when. Said game was never really a productive one, but it was a chance for everyone to have fun and have a laugh in our youth. From this Charles took his competition to the COD4 scene and then gradually fell into Console Gaming.

To join h2k as a member of the editorial staff is simply a demonstration of how eSports can positively impact on somebody’s life. From starting out playing COD: UO in 2005, to playing competitive COD4 and later competitive Ps3 I have seen and done a lot in gaming – but never at the standard h2k operate. Throughout my application the members of staff who have helped me (Steven and Gaetan) have demonstrated all of the attributes which make h2k such a force in competitive eSports; professionalism, friendliness, and above all a clear ambition to making a success out of the organisation and eSports as a whole. To be working with James once again is great, we met way back playing COD: UO and have since became personal friends and linked up on a number of occasions. Given our experience in eSports at both staff and playing levels combined with our friendship and mutual respect, I am confident that we will make this job a success. Thanks again to Steven and Gaetan, and I look forward to working with all the other members of the h2k team and interacting with the wider eSports community.

Together it is evident that the face of H2k-eSports news has a new image, producing high quality news right at a viewer’s fingertips. Organisations in the past have proved that team websites don’t always have to be about the team, but also about the community and their productivity within the respective scenes. Afterall, networking is the key.

Good Luck to both the players and lets hope for some creative news posts coming soon to the website.

H2k-Gaming and their CS 1.6 team will not part ways!

We hereby want to deny any rumors that have been spread out by several websites that our Counter-Strike 1.6 team would leave the organization.

Dear H2k Community, fans and other readers,

We hereby want to deny any rumors that have been spread out by several websites that our Counter-Strike 1.6 team would leave the organization.

We also would like to mention that our aforementioned team is still on contracts for another period of 9 months.

H2k ZOWIE takes down SK Gaming at Dallas

By defeating SK 2 to 1 in a very exciting match, our CS boys managed to reach the semi finals at Arbalet Cup in Dallas, Texas.

The all-Swedish encounter started on de_inferno and everybody was expecting a close match. Nevertheless SK Gaming ran over the H2k boys to finish off the map with a staggering 16-2 score. Going in to the second map, de_train, with this huge result brought SK in pole position to advance to the semis.

But H2k was determined not to go down without a fight and they started off de_train with a 7 to 2 lead. However SK stroke back, taking 6 in a row to finish the half 8-7. The second half turned out to be a real thriller as at one point the score was tied 14-14. At that point, H2k managed to take the last 2 rounds to win the map (16-14) and tie the game.

De_nuke was the playground where it all would be decided and H2k started of by taking the pistol round and getting themselves into a small lead. This lead slowly grew and at the end of the first half the H2k scoreboard showed 10 rounds.

Second half started with SK taking the final pistol round and securing the next 2 rounds bringing the score back to 10-8 in favor of H2k. But H2k hits back securing the next 4 rounds to bring their score up to 14. SK now had to step up their game and they managed to fight back just losing 1 more round to get the score up to 15-14 in advantage of H2k.

In the last round SK wanted to give everything to still secure a tie and go to overtime, but their dreams got scattered by pronax with a very nice double kill.

By winning this last round H2k managed to fight back after a stunning loss in the first map and they send their countrymen back packing. Our boys will now face the German powerhouse 'mousesports' in the semi final at 18.00 CET.

In the second semi final the ESWC 2010 Champions of NaVi will face the American boys of Evil Geniuses.

Stay tuned for fresh updates from Dallas, Texas.

H2k Gaming won fnatic PLAY BEAT IT

H2k Gaming have qualified for the fnatic PLAY LAN finals later this year after a 2-0 beating of mTw.

H2k and mTw had reached the Grand Final after moving past Frag eXecutors and [u.s.b.], respectively, and in the ultimate match of the event it ended up being the Swedes to walk out the happier side, with an impressive score of 2-0.

On de_dust2, H2k were simply stunning on the offensive side, as the Swedes wrapped up an impressive 13 rounds in the first half. mTw found themselves unable to do anything in the second session and did nothing to prevent a 16-2 from going H2k's way.

The map which followed, de_nuke, began in a completely different manner, as mTw were up 9-6 at the break. In the second half, though, H2k proved once again they were the better side, and secured victory in the very last round as the scoreboard showed 16-14 in their favour.

fnatic PLAY qualifier final standings:

fnatic will not attend WCG Nordic

The WCG organisation has announced that fnatic will not take part in the Nordic Counter-Strike finals.

fnatic had secured the top Swedish spot for the WCG Nordic finals after winning the local qualifier at DreamHack Summer last month with a 2-0 victory over SK Gaming.

However, fnatic lodged a protest to the WCG Nordic officials on July 5th, stating that only one paid spot to the WCG World Finals in Los Angeles for all the three Nordic countries was not enough.

The WCG Nordic organisation ruled that, although the six teams - two from Sweden, Norway and Finland - involved in the tournament will be given a place at the WCG finals, only the winner of the Nordic qualifier will have paid expenses to LA.

fnatic stated that they would either get the free spot to the WCG finals without having to play the Nordic qualifier or they would not attend the event.

The Swedish giants, who added Rasmus "GuX" Stahl from SK Gaming earlier this week, aired their discontent with the fact they would have to attend one more tournament this summer, a season that looks to be very busy for them.

fnatic will thus miss out on the WCG Nordic finals, which will take place from 5-8 of August at Assembly Summer in Helsinki, Finland, being replaced by H2k Gaming, who placed third at the Swedish qualifier.

fnatic remove THREAT and add GuX

fnatic have announced they have parted company with Björn "threat" Pers.

The decision comes just days after fnatic's disappointing quarter-final exit at the ESWC finals following a 2-0 defeat to Natus Vincere.

Pers joined fnatic in January on a permanent basis after helping the team win the World Esports Masters at the end of 2009 while acting as a stand-in.

He also played an important role in the team during the first half of 2010 as fnatic won Arbalet Cup Europe and placed second at the Extreme Masters Global Finals, but the poor displays in Paris ended up taking its toll on their line-up.

Stahl is now all set to return to fnatic, whom he left in January after growing apart from the rest of the team, just days after inspiring SK to a second-place finish at the ESWC finals.

He will step into the shoes of Björn "threat" Pers, who was released from fnatic on Sunday following the team's disappointing campaign in Paris.

fnatic will have the following quintet:

MYM without CS team

Meet Your Makers have announced they have decided to part company with their Swedish Counter-Strike team.

Reports in Sweden on Wednesday indicated that MYM had lost their CS team just weeks after a convincing third-place finish at DreamHack Summer.

HLTV.org knows that the players have decided against renewing their contracts with MYM after the German-based organisation failed to meet their demands over an improved deal.

"I would like to thank the organisation, MeetYourMakers, for the time we had together, they gave me the chance to play all around the world in different states and im really happy and thankful for that," Marcus "Delpan" Larsson told mymym.com

"This was the beginning of my top gaming career and it is now time to move on. Thanks to all MYM fans that supported us during the last year. See you out there!"

The decision leaves MYM without a Counter-Strike team, with the organisation stating that a new line-up will soon come to life.

As for MYM's previous team, there has been no indication of whether they will stick together or go their separate ways in different projects.

MYM had the following squad:

Na'Vi won ESWC 2010

Natus Vincere came from behind to beat SK Gaming 2-1 and win the 2010 edition of the Electronic Sports World Cup.

he Swedish side got off to a great start on de_dust2, winning the pistol round with a well-timed attack on bombsite A, and then the following two rounds. However, they started to struggle to break down Na'Vi's defence, which provided the Ukrainians with the opportunity to turn the score around. The rest of the first half went both ways, as team practically took turns in winning rounds rounds, with the scoreboard showing 8-7 in favour of SK at the interval.

In the second half, SK began the better yet again as they won the pistol round. A purchasing attempt from Na´Vi in the second round almost paid dividends, but SK's strong defense denied the Ukrainians. Na`Vi finally managed to put their name on the scoreboard in the fourth round, but SK claimed two rounds right after to become very close to the win. Na´Vi proved they were still in the game and grabbed the next three rounds, but from that point on out it was all SK as the Swedes managed a 16-11 victory.

On de_train, a flying start from Na´Vi saw the Ukrainians win the opening eight rounds, with Yegor "markeloff" Markelov picking up his second ace in the match. SK then managed to make it 8-3, much to the delight of the fans in the venue, but such recovery proved to be short-lived, as Na´Vi went all the way to make it 12-3.

Now on the offensive side, Na´Vi came out very strongly once again and won the first three rounds to become just one round away from victory. SK Gaming still tried to come back into the game, but it was too little, too late, as Na´Vi nailed down a 16-5 triumph.

Next up was de_inferno, where Na´Vi started out the brighter and made it 3-0. SK then tried to respond, but they always found breaking through Na´Vi's defense an uphill task. Inspired by Sergey "starix" Ischuk and Markelov, the Ukrainians found themselves up by a staggering nine rounds at the break.

In the second session, SK Gaming found a lifeline when they won the first two rounds, but that was all the Swedes could do, as Na´Vi grabbed the next three rounds to win the map 16-4 and the 2010 ESWC finals.

SK won ESWC Female

SK Gaming won the 2010 ESWC female finals after a 2-0 victory over fnatic.

A bright start from SK saw the Americans win the opening two rounds, before fnatic got into the game right after and took the lead, making it a score of 3-2. But the first of the first half practically belonged to SK, who were leading 11-4 at the break.

In the second half, fnatic got off the better and won the pistol round and the following two rounds, but SK would dominate from that point on to win the map de_inferno.

Both teams then moved on to de_dust2, where SK Gaming proved a very strong offensive figure as they picked up a total of 12 rounds on T side.

In the second half, fnatic looked like different team as they grabbed the opening five rounds. Though SK managed their first round, their 13th overall, right after, and inspired Zaiab "zAAz" Turkie was determined to prove fnatic were still very much in contention. Still, all they did was to get four more rounds as SK won de_dust2 16-12 to walk out 2-0 winners.

ESWC 2010 female final standings:
