Tomorrow, DreamHack summer will begin at 10:00 C.E.T where some of the best teams will be fighting against each other in order to get their hands on some of the total of 100 000 SEK [~10 313 EUR] prize purse and 60 000 SEK [~6 188 EUR] worth of goodies and hardware.

DreamHack has been improving every consecutive event, attracting more casual players but also professional teams to their increasingly successful tournaments. Although the BYOC teams (the 4th team of each group) have not been decided yet, I took a little time together with ex H2k member Jim "zneel" Andersson from Swedish participating team MUSKELBYGGNING and Dominic "immo" Koller, current Team Manager of SK Gaming, in order to look at the groups and the possible outcome of them. 

We would like to remind you that these are personal opinions and do not represent the opinion of H2k Gaming. Considering how random the football is recently, we don't know what to expect with DreamHack!

Group A

Fnatic - carn, dsn, f0rest, GeT_RiGhT, THREAT

Fair Frag - CosMo, Diodel, drizzer, HaRts, ioRek

MUSKELBYGGNING - zneel, exhale, r9bban, hyrule, bsr

BYOC team - TBA

Zneel: "I think fnatic will win the group kind of easy, I haven't actually played the French team and I don't know what teams are playing in BYOC, if we have good luck and all of us would be doing a good job I think we could snap the second spot in the group."

Zneel's predictions: 1st. Fnatic - 2nd. MYSKELBYGGNING

Immo: "Group A should be fnatic 1st and fair frag 2nd, muskelbyggning is actually quite a good mix team with zneel but the other two are probably way more prepared and experienced than the mixteam"

Immo's predictions: 1st. Fnatic - 2nd. Fair Frag

Binteh: "1st spot should be hands down to fnatic, the second spot might be a bit harder to decide. Fair Frag does have a sick French lineup but considering how insanely good zneel has been playing recently, it's a tough a call. I'll just vote on favouritism!"

Binteh's predictions: 1st Fnatic - 2nd. MUSKELBYGGNING

Group B

Natus Vincere - ceh9, Edward, markeloff, Starix, Zeus

Meet Your Makers - zet, pita, MODDII, BARBARR, delpan

KaoS Gaming - dDd, slaYn, zem1k, metalx, myxo

BYOC team - TBA

zneel: "Na'Vi have been playing amazing this year and will easily go out as winners from the group followed by MYM, I don't actually recognize Kaos so."

Zneel's predictions: 1st. Na'Vi - 2nd. MYM

Immo: "Group B is kinda mixed, Na'Vi should be first as they've been playing amazing for the past months. Not sure how good MYMs new lineup is yet, they should get 2nd but could still be perform surprisingly negatively."

Immo's predictions: 1st. Na'Vi - 2nd. MYM

Binteh: "Na'Vi will probably be using the group stages as a warmup, that's about how easy it will be for them if they perform like anything we've seen recently. MYM should be taking the second spot also with ease. I don't think Kaos is the right team to be representing the Netherlands at DreamHack, perhaps with a player change or two it might've worked."

Binteh's predictions: 1st. Na'Vi - 2nd. MYM

Group C

SK-Gaming - allen, walle, Gux, RobbaN, face

Dark Passage - ER2, prostar, xylm, marque

Concode Gaming - Huggan, Hyvlarn, dennis, manne, Florenz

BYOC Team - TBA

zneel: "SK will go all the way in the group, I think they're really motivated with RobbaN as the new IGL, Concode is a good mix and they will take the second place in the group. Dark Passage is also a team I've never faced before."

Zneel's predictions: 1st. SK - 2nd. Concode

Immo: "Group C depends on who the BYOC team is, SK shouldn't have too much trouble getting first winning against DP and concode, concode consist of a good mix of players but might lack the tactical experience in my opinion"

Immo's predictions: 1st. SK - 2nd. Concode

Binteh: "SK should be taking this, I hope they recovered from their mistakes they did in the last few online games which weren't that promising. I am in love (well..) with the Concode line up, I'm even hesitating putting them first, but they just don't have that much experience as a team together like SK has. And although its a nice suprise seeing a Turkish team appear, I don't think they will have much of a chance."

Group D

H2k Gaming - pronax, xizt, kHRYSTAL, FYRR73, niko

mTw - ave, Minet, Sunde, trace, zonic

Antwerp Aces - Apollo, ciseta, Monu, nookbrid, nunji

zneel: "An interesting group, I think my old pals from H2k will go out as winners from the group followed by mTw. Antwerp Aces is quite a good team but they won't go all the way. As I said earlier, I don't know what teams are participating in the BYOC-qualifier, maybe we'll see some big suprises(?)."

Zneel's predictions: 1st. H2k - 2nd. mTw

Immo: "Well Group D has mTw most likely being first, they've been playing great ever since Sunde returned and dominated the EPS, H2k need to stay focused to get second as they're fighting with Antwerp Aces for 2nd place. You also have to consider that theres a a lot of tournaments for the top teams: IOL finals and WCG qualifier with H2k MYM fnatic SK and then ENC for fnatic/SK mix and then the Dreamhack tournament."

Immo's predictions: 1st. mTw - 2nd. H2k

Binteh: " I have a lot of faith in the current H2k line up and I can see them performing well, I just hope its well enough to beat mTw who have been showing good results lately. As for Antwerp Aces, I'm more weary of them then I was before, there's some pretty decent players in there that kind of surprised me when they showed up at IOL. I think the teams in this group should definitly not underestimate them. Maybe they will surprise us! and like Immo mentioned, the top Swedish teams, H2k, MYM, SK and fnatic have other tournaments to attend during the event, perhaps if  they perform badly in one of them it might affect their performance in another tournament, so pretty much anything could happen, but H2k has nothing to lose so they should only look up! COMON BOYS!"
